Curriculum for Groups and Classes
COMPASS FINANCIAL MINISTRY
“Building Your Finances God’s Way” is the core study from Compass Financial Ministry requiring about 25 minutes of daily Bible study between classes to write answers you will share in the weekly group discussion. There is a mandatory weekly memory verse. Although number-crunching financial worksheets are part of the study, these are not shared with anyone in the group. Daily prayer for group members is encouraged and tracked through a weekly prayer log. Both paper back and soft copies of the study are available. Compass provides frequent study sessions throughout the year with group members from around the globe if you are unable to do a study in person at your church. Each group is limited in size to create a true small group experience. Soft copies of the study are available at: Compass Online Studies
CROWN
Crown Financial Ministries has a number of resources at Crown.org. The two most popular studies with churches are “Do Well” and “Money Life.” There are a number of free resources on their website in addition to their excellent studies. Crown Adult Studies Comparison Chart

Ron Blue was one of the first people to go through the Bible and identify scriptures on money. For families, “God Owns It All” is available from: God Owns It All with six sessions that fit during a small group or Sunday School class in a DVD series. For high school juniors and seniors, the Ron Blue Institute also has a course called Equip Generous Stewards, a principle-driven personal finance course “with perspectives, principles, and processes to apply biblical wisdom to financial decision making” at: Ron Blue Institute Curriculum

In Taylor University’s Biblical Stewardship Resource Library, Jay has compiled a great selection of free resources for your church from 1-minute “Stewardship Minutes” to a 3-year “Steward’s Way Discipleship Series.” You will also find teaching on estate planning for families. Jay lays down the Biblical foundation one-step-at-a-time to allow the Holy Spirit to teach participants as they go through each session. Stewardship Library
GOOD SENSE MOVEMENT
The Good Sense Movement has a teaching app particularly popular with young adults called “Freed Up”. Good Sense Movement
Their financial coach training course helps future coaches learn how participants feel about doing finances differently from a Biblical perspective. “Freed Up Financial Living” is their legacy course and is great for those who are eager to start a financial journey and need a next step. Good Sense touches everyone and not just those who are in desperate financial trouble.
FAITHFI
FaithFi has numerous practical articles, a podcast, videos and a daily radio program at FaithFi. They also have a new study about the parable of the rich fool called Rich Toward God.
DAVE RAMSEY
Nearly every church has used Financial Peace University for many years from: Ramsey Solutions. They promote church-wide licenses to access their material. And who’s not motivated to attend a live Ramsey Smart Conference? If you are looking for practical videos about certain financial topics, I often start with YouTube to check out what Dave has shared.
ANDY STANLEY
In 2019, a new series came out entitled “If Money Talked.” Videos of around 16 minutes each are included in this 4-part series with a discussion guide that can be obtained at: If Money Talked. This series is good for any adult group.
BRIAN KLUTH
Pastor Brian has created a 30-day and 40-day devotional on giving where your people read scriptures on generosity daily at: generositydevotional.com used by thousands of churches. One particular church completed the devotional and received the largest offering they had ever seen in their church history as told here: God’s Generosity Roller Coaster
CHALMERS
Chalmers is great at reaching the poor. If your church is near an inner-city low-income area, this is the “go to” study. They help train financial counselors to work with those who are materially poor, giving people hope, using language they understand. Chalmers.org
SOUND MIND INVESTING
There are three ways to invest: do it yourself, use a newsletter or have someone manage your investments for you. For the first two categories, the Multiply 4-part video series helps people who are beginning their investment journey called: Multiply
One of the best Bible-based investment newsletters I have ever come across is here: Sound Mind Investing
MATT BELL

FAITH AND FINANCES FOR KIDS
Rick and Dottie Jones created a learning system for their 3-year-old son 30 years ago. It is their prayer that this system will be both helpful and fun for your family as you learn how to manage money in a way that pleases God, so together we can impact future generations for Christ both spiritually and financially.
